I bought this audiobook as part of a promotion on Audible. Normally I'm not really a fan of psychological thrillers, but this one was brilliant.

What a cunning plan! It was hard to take off my headphones. I liked the story lines and the perspective of both women, Beth and Amber. At first glance they are much alike, but once you get to know them, they are total opposites of each other.

I listened to the audiobook, and although I liked the British accent, I would have liked the narrator to have brought more variety into the different characters. But that was the only shortfall in this audiobook.

I also appreciated the epilogues where we jump ahead in time. I'm always curious how the characters are doing afterwards. I didn't expect the end, it was a true plot twist in my opinion. Loved it!

A two letter word can up your productivity drastic A two letter word can up your productivity drastically . NO!

Imagine: You're working on a story-line and you're all focused and in the zone. Then the door to your office swings wide open and one of your family members (spouse, kids, doesn't matter) has a request.

You sigh, maybe even roll your eyes because with your back to the door they won't see it anyway, turn around and with a smile plastered on your face say... but yes, let me take a look at that for you.

Sounds familiar, right?

I get it, this is a hard one for most of us. We women, want to accommodate everyone around us. And sometimes that disturbs your working day.

Learn to say no to unimportant requests from others, including your family. Your kids can accomplish a lot more than you give them credit for. It’s just easier when mom does it.

And saying yes to lunch with a friend because you’re home anyway, takes a lot more time than eating a salad at your own kitchen table.

It's time to say no during writing hours. It's not selfish, it's ok, and you can do it!

Do you find it hard to stay productive all the tim Do you find it hard to stay productive all the time?

I mean, that book is not gonna write itself. And it's not gonna magically appear in the hand of your readers, right?

Optimal productivity during the day is something we all strive for. But believe me, it's incredibly hard from time to time. I'm no stranger to it either.

Time blocking is a planning technique perfect to avoid multitasking and to hold your concentrating longer.

Combine it with the Pomodoro Technique of working for 50 minutes followed by a 10-minute break, you’ll notice you get more done during your working hours.

I've also heard authors call it "sprints". You write for 25 minutes followed by a 5-minute break. You can do this on your own but for a little more accountability, you can work with other authors.

Get together on Zoom and write silently for 25 minutes. Then talk to each other in those 5-minute breaks about things you ran into, a little breakthrough you had while writing, or just how things are going.

It works wonders having someone at the other end of the screen and "watching" what you do.

Stay tuned for more tips to keep your productivity high and get your next book written.

Audiobooks are perfect to listen to while doing housework, sitting in the bus, driving your car, or doing garden work. Or even just before going to sleep!

"Call me Maybe" from Cara Bastone was such a fun listen! I really liked the conversation between the main characters, Vera and Cal.

It was like listening in on their telephone call. And especially the background sounds made it even more vividly!

In the beginning we only hear their conversation, but while the book prolongs, we get to hear what Vera and Cal are thinking as well.

Cara writes on her blog: "Stories out loud make the characters come along with you, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing. Because you can go about your daily life while listening along, these characters become your companions. Stories told out loud are company. "

I couldn't agree more with her. This audiobook was one out of the ordinary and a definite recommendation from me to everyone.
